Concert and Festivals

1-300x195For the first time in the history of International Music Nights, Nassau  County, along with FEBA hosted a “Balkan American Night” at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theater in Eisenhower Park, Nassau County Parks. Performances included: AMANET BAND, which played Albanian, Bosnian, and Macedonian Music; SEDEF FOLK GROUP, which performed traditional Bosnian dances as well as a surprise traditional Turkish dance; and MERGIMI FOLK GROUP of the Albanian Associated Fund, who did Albanian Folk Dances.

This was a night where different Balkan cultures came together and shared the unique beauty and the commonalities between them. It was an unforgettable event for everyone, especially the children, for whom various entertaining activities were carefully prepared, while their parents mingled, enjoyed music and danced.
