Testimonials from Last Year's Participants

When I returned to Canada most of my friends asked me about my summer trip. One question stood out amongst the rest. "Use one word to describe your trip to Turkey this past summer" My friend Mike said. I was left thinking for a few minutes because for the first time I needed many more words to describe it. One word just wouldn’t do it justice. I told Mike I would give him five, five words that those people who were in Turkey would be able to relate to and know exactly what I am talking about. Those five words were "Wild", "Spontaneous", "HOT", "Remarkable" and "Abi".
This is my second year doing the FEBA summer program and it never really sinks in how amazing the trip is until you return home and get back to your normal schedule. You would do anything for those late nights, the early mornings, the sound of someone saying abi over and over again, the taste of ayran or the smell of Doners on every street corner or the sound of those little buses which can squeeze 30 people easily. It's an experience I’ll never forget and I look forward to returning as soon as possible.
